 Hi, I'm Nick Arandes
also know as The Radical Kid.
Might as well introduce myself in
case this is your first time
viewing this page. However, if
you have visited this page prior
to April 26, 2007, you may have
noticed that something has
changed.
What is it? You
guessed it. The one who I
referred to in the past as my
rich mentor has changed. And so
is pretty much everyone I have
studied with. Let me explain, I
have been involved in the
self-help movement for over 20
years. It began with my spiritual
journey and then I ended up
attending seminars in all areas
of human potential.
In a way I felt
like my identity got lost in the
shuffle. I was operating from a
strictly human realm trying to
apply spiritual principles. And
even when we have now movies like
The Secret
talking about the law of
attraction and What The
Bleep Do We Know about
quantum physics, there was still
something within that kept
yearning for something more.
Something deeper.
 It is as if I knew
there is another dimension of my
being. Arnold Patent said in his
wonderful book The
Journey, which
highly recommend:
"When we came to
the human, we intended to have
the kinds of experiences we have
created. However, there comes a
time when a voice from within
tells us that we are not bound by
the limitations we are
experiencing. We become aware
that we are free to redefine our
human experience; we realize that
we may live in the human without
the limitations we have
previously attributed to being
human."
I would still go
to seminars and listen to all
these teachers saying that you
have to have goals, they need to
be specific, then you have to set
out a plan, take action, blah,
blah, blah... And although I am
not going to deny that these
strategies may have worked for
some, only to a certain extend,
for me they weren't. And the
reason being was, something deep
within me was whispering the
following;
"Remember who you are. Remember
who you are..."
So I would ask
myself, if I know that I am the
power and presence of God, why
would I need to set out goals and
make plans when in the past I
have manifested many things
without those tools? Not only so,
every time I would find myself
passionate towards something, it
was never because of any kind of
strategy or plan I have devised
for myself, it was always because
of an inspiring idea that came
through me and I simply could not
put it down.
And the
interesting thing was, every time
I would follow through with
whatever idea or project I was
inspired to do, whether it was to
record my music CD, write books,
create videos, etc., all the
resources I needed in order to
make whatever I wanted to create
will show up in my life
easily and
effortless.
But once the
project was finished, it seems as
if the magic was lost and I would
find myself back to where I
started. Another thing I noticed
is that every time I would let
go, and I mean literally, I would
let go of what I wanted to
create, it would mysteriously
show up in my life.
So I began to
question and what I would come up
with is, maybe there is a Power
that is guiding my life, and if I
stop trying to figure out what to
do next and allow myself to be
guided, all that I need from
moment to moment would show up in
my life. So maybe all I need to
do is to listen to my innermost
desires, and live my life from
that space knowing that every
true desire will manifest as I
move through this wonderful
journey called life.
It is a place
where I simply allow life to
surprise me instead of me trying
to figure it all out. If you look
at the scriptures, there is a
quote that reads: "Look at
the birds of the air; they do not
sow or reap or store away in
barns, and yet your heavenly
Father feeds them. Are you not
much more valuable than
they?" [Matthew
6:26]
Although to a
great degree, that is how I have
been living my life, even at the
expense of not being understood
and being labeled irresponsible
at times, somewhere deep within
my soul I knew that there was
something more.
That being said,
the voices outside, you know, the
LOUD voices from the typical
self-help movement would continue
to scream; "HAVE
GOALS." "MAKE THEM SPECIFIC."
"WHAT IS IT THAT YOU WANT?" "I'LL
TEACH YOU HOW TO GET
IT!"
Tools ranging from
visualization workshops,
neuro-linguistic programming,
goal-setting books, tapes,
seminars on how to do this, that,
make this, make that, how to make
money in the stock market, how to
become rich in real estate, how
to attract the things you want
and the list goes on
forever...
You can imagine
how difficult it could be to stay
centered in the midst of all that
noise. Then one day I received an
email. Since the universe always
works on purpose, it was the
right time for me to move on to
the next level. This email was
sent by none other than
Jack
Canfield,
co-author of the world-famous
Chicken Soup for
the Soul
series.
Jack is a man I
have deep respect for specially
because even when he is by far
one of the most thought-after
coaches in the corporate and
spiritual arena, and he even is
an advocated of goal setting,
knowing what you want, etc., he
is also very deeply connected
with his spiritual self and is
not afraid to recognize the fact
that there is much more depth to
what most people teach.
So in his email he
recommends this book, which I'll
tell you in a moment and he even
wrote the foreword. I would like
to share just two small
paragraphs from this book's
foreword by Jack Canfield.
My prediction is
that the transformational
