A lot of people put a lot of
emphasis on achieving goals.
There is nothing wrong with that.
The challenge however is, there
are easier ways to achieve ones
desires. For example, let's say
you are an author and want to
make a million dollars by selling
your book.
By putting your focus on the
million dollars and do whatever
it takes in order to make that
happen, sometimes you forget what
really matters. Which is the
journey. Some people sacrifice
their families and friends
because of the fact that their
goals demand so much of their
attention.
On the other hand, instead of
focusing so much on the millions
dollars, if you place your
attention on finding ways in
which you can serve as many
people as you can by sharing your
gift, in other words in your
individual expansion, do not be
surprised if before you know it,
you have not only achieved your
original goal, but you have
actually surpassed it.
Because if you place your
focus on your growth, what you
find out is that for the most
part, the goal itself was not
what was driving you. It was your
inner desire to express yourself.
And the money that showed up in
your life will show up in the
necessary amounts.
I love making money and being
compensated for my talents and
gifts. But I always focus on the
desires I want to fulfill and
interesting enough, when I count
my money, I surprise myself with
how much of it keeps showing up
in my life.
