People
pay thousands of dollars to
"motivational" speakers, and even
when there is some truth to their
work, motivating people is very
difficult to do. The reason being
is, for the most part, people
seek motivation just so that they
can follow through when doing
something they have to do in
order to achieve a goal as
opposed to something they are
inspired to do in order to
experience an inner sense of
gratitude and fulfillment.
You see
seminars claiming that if people
do what the speaker is telling
them, they will make a lot of
money for example. Once again,
trying to motivate someone in
order to make money doing
whatever it is the speaker it
telling them is very ineffective
because all of a sudden people
find themselves at a "job" that
do not inspire them. They are
just working hard at trying to
make something happen as opposed
to allow things to happen through
them.
I can
teach you how to write a book and
promote it which eventually will
end up making money, granted you
follow all the steps I would
outline for you. If you see my
website you can appreciate the
extensive amount of information
and careful preparation that went
into it. That took a lot of work!
But to me however, it did not
seem like work at all. And that
is because I was simply being a
channel through which all the
ideas and concepts contained on
my website along with the
creation of my books, music and
everything I have ever created
and will continue to create
expressed through me.
So as a
result of all that "work" I feel
happy and fulfilled as opposed to
tired, drained, or even
overwhelmed. Now, I am not going
to deny that at times I didn't
feel like working on some of my
projects. But it wasn't because
of lack of motivation. It was
mostly because of distractions.
Once I aligned myself with my
highest purpose however, the
inspiration took over and the
motivation was there ready for me
to access it. I didn't need
anybody telling me to move or to
take action.
When you
are creating from the heart,
motivation is the last thing you
need. Clarity may be a little
more appropriate. For example, a
dear friend of mine loves to
paint. And she only discovered
that gift few years ago. But she
is caught up making a living.
Pretty much like most people are.
So to get up and go to work, or
to even do anything that would
bring her extra income she would
need someone to kick her in the
butt sort of speak, so that she
can follow through. On the other
hand, when I asked her to paint
the cover of one of my books, she
was so excited! All of a sudden
she found something to be
inspired by, and without any
"motivation" on my part, she
started to work on it.
As a
matter of fact, she would make
time out of her busy schedule as
a single mother of two and
holding full time job in order to
complete that project. That is
what happens when you connect
with your highest vision. Once
you are clear about your life's
mission, your divine purpose,
you'll notice that you don't need
anyone to motivate
you, all you need is
someone to guide you!
